Beginning June, 2011, a portion of all income from each month will be donated to a designated charity, typically tagged to a specific fundraising effort.  In most cases, these will be locally based small organizations - local because we believe in giving back to our community, and small because we want our dollars to count. 

Many will be animal-related, but some are just causes that caught our eye.  The only other criteria is that 100% of donations go directly to the project.  We will list them here, with a bit of information descibing what   Feel free to nominate a worthy cause.  We will provide information to keep readers up to date, and in case you are moved to contribute directly to any of our sponsored charities.
