This page describes some of our services
Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of a physical examination at least once a year. For senior pets or those with ongoing medical issues, we prefer to see them every six months or more, depending on their general health status. Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems. We offer a wide range of veterinary services to keep your companions feeling their best:
Emergency Care: Available during our regular business hours, for our valued clients and for new clients as scheduling permits. After hours and on holidays, contact Valley Animal Medical Center in Indio at 760-342-4711.
Types of Pets Seen: Country Club Animal Clinic's services are limited to dogs and cats at this time.
Wellness Care: As nutrition and early intervention improve, our pets are living longer, healthier lives. We are here to help! Let us recommend a program tailored to your pet's needs. This will entail regular physical exams and various screening tests based on age, breed, and health status.
Vaccinations:
Especially important for younger patients, we offer up-to-date
vaccination programs tailored to your individual pet. We stay informed
about emerging diseases and new vaccine products, so we can offer what
they need, when they need it!
Permanent identification: We offer ResQ (ISO frequency, the
internationally preferred choice) microchip implantation. All
microchips are registered at the time of implantation, and this is
included in the fee. All local shelters and many veterinary hospitals
can scan for these chips if a loose or injured animal is brought to
them.
Surgical Services:
Our state-of-the-art surgical suite enables us to perform most
soft-tissue surgical procedures, whether elective, diagnostic, or
emergency. By special arrangement, we can also offer an on-site
surgical specialist for many orthopedic procedures. We also work with a
number of veterinary specialty centers and can provide referral for
those pets who need it.
Anesthesia: Should your pet require general anesthesia or
sedation, Country Club Animal Clinic's team will tailor a protocol to
meet their needs. We utilize the safest available agents to maximize
control and comfort, especially for our older or high-risk patients.
Intravenous fluids are administered throughout, in order to
support blood pressure and kidney function, and allow immediate access
to the circulatory system in the rare event of an emergency. Using the
most modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during
all anesthetic procedures.
Radiology Services: Our on-site, digital X-ray equipment from http://foveadr.com/ provides
high quality radiographs at some of the lowest exposures in the
industry, to aid in the quick diagnosis of many disorders. If needed,
we can quickly send copies of x-ray images to specialists anywhere in
the world. Just ask, and we'll give you a copy to take home! In
addition, if a specialist's opinion is warranted, we can easily upload
the images and request a consultation, often getting results in a few
hours or less.
Ultrasound: Available on-site by pre-arrangement. Helpful
in evaluating abdominal problems without (or prior to) surgery, or
assessing a heart malfunction, this is the same technology that might be
used to assess fetal health or check behind an abnormal eye. We
contract with VetImage, a traveling veterinary ultrasound practice, to
perform this often invaluable diagnostic procedure on site. Visit their
website for more information: http://www.geocities.com/vetimage/
Dentistry:
Pet dental care is one of the most important services we provide.
Depending on the amount of calculus and other factors, general
anesthesia may or may not be required. We routinely perform full-mouth
intra-oral x-ray studies, professional cleaning, polishing and fluoride
treatment and complete assessment of oral health. We offer a range of
treatments to reduce future problems and in some cases can
salvage diseased teeth. However all levels of dental extractions are
available and full pain control is always provided. Call for a
consultation.
Laboratory: Where time is of the essence, we can perform
most routine laboratory tests in house. To save money, routine tests
are usually sent out with results reported a day or two later. We also
utilize Antech Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory for specialized
diagnostics and consultations: http://www.antechdiagnostics.com/ .
Permanent identification: We offer ResQ (ISO frequency, the
internationally preferred choice) microchip implantation. All
microchips are registered at the time of implantation. Microchip
identification is now required for dog licensing in Riverside County.
All local shelters and many veterinary hospitals can scan for these
chips and contact the owner if a loose or injured animal is brought to
them. For more information visit http://www.bayerdvm.com/products/resq/resq.cfm
Pharmacy: We maintain an extensive inventory of
pharmaceuticals, shampoos, and supplements as well as flea and tick
control products and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your
pet. We also carry a wide range of veterinary specific diets from Hills,
Iams/ Eukanuba, and Royal Canin.
