Our Indio Vet Clinic was founded by Palm Desert veterinarian, Dr. Roberts. After a successful career working in emergency vet care, Dr. Roberts opened the Country Club Animal Clinic in 1996 to serve as an Indio Vet Clinic with the singular goal to elevate the standard of care available to Rancho Mirage, Indio, Indian Wells and Palm Desert pets. In 2008, our Indio Vet Clinic relocated to its current home, a state-of-the-art facility featuring the latest diagnostic machines and treatment rooms. Dr. Susan Powell joined our Indio vet clinic full time in 2010. Together, Dr. Roberts, Dr. Powell and our entire Palm Desert veterinarian staff is committed to providing compassionate care tailored specifically for the needs of your pet.

From the moment you enter our Indian Wells Vet Clinic, your pets will immediately feel relaxed and at home. Dogs can dash freely on our non-skid rubber floors, and love hopping onto our cushioned exam tables. An assistant normally aids our Indian Wells veterinarian, so you can wait in the comfortable waiting room while your pet receives great care. If you ever wish to watch a treatment or procedure, just let us know. We’re happy to accommodate. We offer a separate cat clinic area and are very feline friendly!

Our Indian Wells vet clinic diagnostic rooms feature large screen televisions, so you can view your pet’s x-rays, diagnostic images and other pet wellness information. We use these screens to educate you about your pet’s condition, so you are informed and can feel confident you are making the right health care choices for your pet. We’re always happy to provide an extra copy of tests or x-rays for you to take home.

It’s not just dogs that feel at home in our Palm Desert animal hospital – cats are big fans, too. Our Palm Desert cat clinic has two cats-only exam rooms in our Palm Desert animal hospital that have been treated with Feli-way, a special pheromone that only cats can smell. This pheromone has an immediate, calming effect on cats, making routine examinations and wellness testing easy and painless for your pet. If your cat needs to be left over night for additional care, we offer special holding cages in our Palm Desert cat clinic cats-only treatment room – no dogs allowed!

Putting your pet under with anesthesia can be a scary process for any pet owner—sometimes even more nerve wracking than the actual operation! Your pet is in safe, experienced hands with Dr. Roberts, Dr. Powell and our entire Palm Desert animal hospital staff. We use safe, multi-modal sedation, anesthesia or pain relief that is fully customized to your pet’s individual profile. We carefully monitor all pets that are under anesthesia for heart beat, respiration rate and blood pressure. Warmed air pillows, blankets and a climate-controlled incubator maintain body temperature, as needed.
