URGENT CARE

When your pet is injured or suddenly becomes ill, you want the clinic that knows them best. We at Country Club Animal Clinic are committed to caring for as many of our patients as possible, within our normal business hours, with or without an appointment.

Our three full-time veterinarians have extensive experience, including years of working in an emergency environment. This allows us to quickly assess your pet, offer treatment or stabilization, and referral to the appropriate specialty hospital only if needed.

We offer a tiered fee schedule that typically costs less than Urgent Care or Emergency Clinics, and in most cases a much shorter wait time! Not sure it’s an emergency or might need a specialty hospital? Our doctors and technicians can help steer you where you need to go.

Examples of cases that might require same-day examinations:

  • Breathing problems
  • Ear infections
  • Fever or overheating
  • Urinary-tract infections/ bloody urine or straining to go
  • Minor wounds such as torn toenails or abrasions
  • Larger wounds such as lacerations or fractures
  • Skin problems such as severe itching or hot spots
  • Acute lameness/ limping
  • Vomiting and/ or diarrhea
  • Coughing that is severe, protracted, or has a sudden onset

Examples of cases we might stabilize and refer:

  • Limb fractures
  • More severe wounds or injuries
  • Severe intestinal upset such as bloody or intractable vomiting
  • Difficult breathing/ respiratory distress
  • Acute collapse with no apparent cause
  • Urinary obstruction (straining with little or no urine produced)
  • Heat stress/ severe hyperthermia
  • Severe hemorrhage or anemia

In most cases, it costs less to have the initial assessment done at your regular vet than a dedicated urgent care facility, or to wait and pay a specialty or 24-hour hospital.  And we can help guide you as to the best facility if a transfer or referral is needed.  Let us help you when you don’t know where to turn!
